Those had very little info. and would never happen anyway...

The thing is not dead most probably. I just think it's not coming to the Wii now. Remember how Iwata or Miyamoto or Reggie said that E3 was not the place to talk about the VS, yet 2 GDC have passed, 3 or 4 Nintendo conferences have passed and yet not a single mention of it. Don't expect it at E3 now, unless what they said was simply PR.
