And you think all of a sudden developpers are going to care about another Nintendo console if even a smashing success like the Wii has been able to be third party friendly? Why should they be interested by this new console if it's not release some easy ports and stop doing that the moment the PS4 and 720 will be released? I don't say that the third party support is good for the Wii right now. It's bad especially in Japan but please explain how a new console would magically change that. The 3DS has a really good support from third party because the DS has shown to them that they could be successful on a Nintendo handheld but I hope that you certainly don't expect the same kind of support for a Nintendo new console after the Wii's third party debacle.Speaking for myself I certainly don't.

The only way to make the third party devs work on their console is to prove them that they can be successful on it everything else is bullshit and to obtain that you have to create a viable market for their games. Just Dance is a success because Nintendo has released games like WS, WSR, Wii Fit, which has create a market... But now after releasing 2D and 3D Mario games, DKCR, Kirby... there is certainly a market  for platform games as well like the good sales of EM and Sonic have proven. That's how you create a market viable for third parties. What they should do imo is just releasing more traditional games like RPGs or FPS because third parties know how to create those games. That's what they trying to do right now wth the releases of games like Xenoblade, TLS, Zelda, DQX probably and Pandora Tower. That's the right thing to do to improve third party support and having a big installed base can only help.

Lol, stop day dreaming. The situation is getting worse by the day. The Wii used to have those kinds of games announced earlier in its life by 3rd parties, but now they are gone. The games you name have no impact AT ALL an third parties don't give a fuck about what Nintendo does or does not release. Besides Xenoblade, TLS, Pandora's Tower are all Japan exclusive at the moment, which points at major internal problems and misjudging by Nintendo of Japan when deciding the localization of games. Stop kidding yourself expecting a Wii revival. The console is dead to third parties and there's nothing Nintendo can do about that.

Nintendo can now openly show their plans of a future console to third parties and search for support. It's way better than releasing an RPG only in Japan and pretending that it will be the saving grace of an almost dead console.
