1. You're wrong. PS3 outsold 360 in 2010. By over 500,000 units, despite Halo, Fable, Slim and Kinect.

2. Games DO sell Online on PSN. Proof of this comes from Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. VGChartz Retail Sales of the game stand at 4.05 Million units Worldwide. Polyphony Digitals OWN sales number (Shipments and PSN Sales) stand at over 5 Million units Worldwide.
This would indicate that 1/5 (1 Million Units) of GT5 Prologue sales have been from PSN. That's... A lot.
