Those aren't low sales. None under the median or even the upper quartile for that genre. Your favourite selling RPGs are only really eclipsed by less than half a dozen franchises from this generation at least. See, you too really do like games which sell more, more typically. Though that doesn't mean that you won't find other smaller releases extremely enjoyable. |
Yea, but I don't like some of the big titles like Fable, and I think games like Final Fantasy XIII and The Elder Scrolls are good, but nothing special. Also this generation, Lost Odyssey, Too Human, Tales of Vesperia, and Golden Sun DS all have lacking sales, none selling over 1 million, some only half.
I won't deny that generally high selling games tend to be well polished, and well good, but only about half my games fall into the high selling category. For example this fall I picked up Halo, Alan Wake, and Assassin's Creed, but I also picked up Vanquish, blur, and Front Mission Evolved. All of which I enjoy to about the same degree. How many units did Front Mission sell compared to Halo? Something like 130k, and Halo is approaching 8 million.
