only Nintendo has given some hard numbers.. MS have not given XBOX numbers only KINECT numbers.. which might mean that XBOX numbers are a bit lower than last year.. so they hyped the KINECT numbers


alternatively they might be saying the Kinect numbers... because 2.5 million is incredible and they for some reason have a more accurate streaming of kinect sales as opposed to Xbox360 console sales.
