Burnout Paradise

so bad that even the developer needed to abandon the series and go to NFS instead :P

Seriously? Every time I have played a driving game since then, half my mind is thinking about how Burnout Paradise is better, even with NfS Hot Pursuit

Everytime I play a good racer and think about the most disapointing racing games of the last few years, Burnout Paradise is always the first thing that comes to my mind. Well maybe second after ProStreet....

Just so many stupid design decisions that destroy the whole game. The core gameplay isn't that bad afterall.

Yes, the core game design is so so good, you go so so fast and it is just so awesome!

@ acevil, admittedly I have not played Sly, though I do plan to get the trilogy

no map on HUD, losing boost streak when pressing select and looking at the map, AI always use a different path than yourself, taking out the real crash mode.

That's just broken gameplay. Why playing Burnout when there is no one to take out. Most of the time you see the AI at the start and then comes a time pretty early when you split ways and at the very very end on the finish line you meet them again. If you crash in the middle of the race, it takes ages to get any kind of boost, because there is simply no enemy to take out.

Thus driving slow til the end = no fun.

Simply design faults that could have easily been fixed.
