Well, to keep things in perspective, sales through 184 weeks (Famitsu) for comparison...

Yep. DS is definitely the system of choice overall.

If we're going by lifetime of home consoles though as was stated, Metallicube is wrong.

And it hurts me to know that not one of the home consoles this gen will even get close to the PS2's sales of 21 Million plus.

Edit: Sorry. 23 Million plus... According to VGC the PS2 sits at 23,098,857 in Japan. Awesome!
