1-Those games aren't comparable at all. Mario Party wasn't popular in EMEAA before 8 2- and Just Dance was a random piece of shovelware that inexplicably caught on with the masses. 3- Wii Party sold only one third of the next lowest selling Wii series game (not counting Chess for obvious reasons). 4-I agree with you in that it will keep selling, but a hardware mover it is not. Don't make fish through old threads to find examples of people saying it would outsell everything else combined times 10 this holiday. |
1- While it wasn't ultra-duper popular, I'd hardly call 2 million unpopular.
2-Why it is shovelware? Because it doesn't have HD grapix or because girls play it?
3- Only crazy people expected it to sell 300K or whatever FW on EMEAA, it was obvious it owuld perform more like Mario Part than the like the Wii sereis, since Wii Part is in fact, it's spiritual sucessor. Also, I can easily counterattack this argument by saying that Wii Party sold 3 times better in Japan, and will sell even more later.
4- I doubt it will move hardware too, but it will help somewhat during the holyday season, not selling "10 times" more than anything else, but it will help to sell more Wii Remotes.
Also, I think you should care more about how Castlevania and Enslaved flopped, you guys only want to take the attention on how a Wii game opened "bad" while those 2 HD games flopped reeally bad (and unlike Wii Party's legs, nothing can save them)

Above: still the best game of the year.
