It could still be at TGS 2011, even with a spring/ summer 2011 release. DQMBRV and DQMJ2 were still at TGS after all, as was DQIX after it's summer release. Also, Jump Fiesta is a more important event than TGS for DQ, so a debut there instead is pretty likely as well. Still, it's also possible Nintendo might've asked for it to be held back from TGS this year in leu of their own event. We'll find out in another 30 hours or so.... exciting! And again, DQX started development before DQIX was finished, and DQIX itself was delayed almost a year. Considering that, 2-2.5 years (rather than the usual 4-5 years) isn't really all that unlikely. |
DQIX was showcased during TGS 2008, then released later in 2009 and was playable during TGS 2009. DQX doesn't even have an official name or logo. There's really nothing known about it. Plus 2.5 years would be too little time for a main DQ game and hasn't happened since the mid 90's. I think they could be aiming for a 3DS/Wii simultaneous release but that would mean an even further delay.
It's a 2012 game IMO, no matter how hard Nintendo tries otherwise. I'd say it releases after Wii's successor has hit the market.
