No it didn't hit 3 Million at all.

The PS3's userbase isn't anything like the PS2's userbase in size... So it's just not possible.

 

And don't give me that Metal Gear Solid 4 excuse either! It wont work, and GoW3 simply can't match or surpass the PS2 games!!!  EVAR!!!!
