Having said that, the 360S has had a much greater impact on hardware sales than many (including myself) had expected, so well done to Microsoft for making quite a genius business decision.


Why do you guys choose to ignore that the 360 didn't get a price cut? Not that I didn't point this out in my first post in this thread, so I'm not surprised in the slightest, but still, be fair on both sides.

The 360 had already hit the golden price. The Slim put a viable version of the console at that golden price, and rejuvenated the brand's image. That did more than any price cut ever could.

I wasn't ignoring it. The 360 just didn't need any justification for not selling more than the huge numbers it has already managed.
