LOL, Kaz Hirai must think the PS3 is a Wii. Maybe if the Xbox 360 and Wii didn't exist, but since they do the PS3 has no chance of even breaking 60 million in the next couple years when the generation ends. Whether SOny wants to admit it or not, the PS3 does not have 10 year legs like the PS2. They can support it all they like, but this generation ends when the next one starts and after the first of the new machines hits the market the PS3 will be dead in the water. The PS3 is not a PS2, the PS2 of this gen is the Wii and even it won't have the legs the PS2 had. This generation has three successes which means the sales are split between the three and Sony can't get those sales back no matter how hard they wish.

However, I don't begrudge Kaz Hirai for saying they'll beat PS2. It's his jop to boost the companies stocks and keep their stock holders happy.
