Of course there are more and some of those are likely 2012 titles. Sure Microsoft could surprise us they have continued to fight back the PS3 and certainly could match a price cut but without some new games how long can they continue to fight? I mean what happens if Sony finally decides to launch a PS3 Arcade or decides to bundle 2 games together permanently instead of just during the holidays. What if they bring the white sku and play tv to America. For me I see a brighter future for the PS3 and many of you disagree. The truth is nobody knows what will happen in the future but at least this gives us something to talk about |
What's interesting about this generation is that while Sony and Nintendo continue to market in a traditional way by letting rumors spread about new games and anouncing them years in advance, Microsoft has kept most of it's biggest Xbox 360 games secret until within a year or so. MS probably doesn't want next years games being talked about when they want everyone talking about this holiday season's big titles. I don't know which marketing strategy is better, but the reason you don't know many Xbox 360 games of 2011 and 2012 is becuase Microsoft doesn't want you to know about them. It's not becuase MS doesn't have anything, they just want you to buy Halo Reach, Fable 3, Kinect, etc. We pretty much know what Sony has planned, their won't be any surprised at retail next year for PS3, but MS has shown that they keep their best stuff under wraps untill they they want to show it. It may be a mystery, but you can bet that MS will have plenty coming out next year, just like they did this year and the years before.
