I'm not sure I understand your reasoning. N64 tech was not as old in 2004 as Gamecube tech is now; why would the latter be more expensive than the former in their respective timeframes?

no having GC like graphics stero3d will be expensive in a small handheld system, it is the stereo3d which will make it expensive, but saying that psp2 aint gonna be cheap either so don't worry, I am still not decided which one to buy yet...

If Retro Studios are making a Metroid prime 3D on 3DS plus Nintendo are porting Mario Sunshine and Wind Waker, 3DS will be the best bet1
