Gears was 2006, and it was shared with Zelda mostly.

Though the GDC awards gave it to Wii Sports, unless I remember wrong.

I think that was BAFTA. Also I am talking a bunch of awards. Some games got awards in 2006 and 2007 like Call of Duty 4.
