I dunno... I dont have a high-end PC and my net connection is far from stellar, but I never, ever had slowdown issues on VGC. And common, I live in the EUs poorest country 
Maybe because Im using MFF as a web browser?
The only thing that I dont like about sigs is that they might have some truly indecent content in them either in text or photo/gif form. Luckily the moding job is pretty good here, and these people are mostly newcommers, whom will change them fast
