I'm german, that's europe. I've heard about HD-DVD. If I go to a shop, I can see two small (about the same size) shelfes for HD-DVD and BluRay and gigantic shelfes for DVD. Some european studios support HD-DVD. So no HD-DVD outside of US? Think again. When we look to asia, we can see another contender: EVD (Enhanced versatile disc). Chinese studios don't want to pay license fees into foreign countries.
