Heh. Isn't it surreal that the console with twice the userbase of it's nearest competitor and more than twice the software sales (yes, higher attach rate even) is the one that goes so long without releases in the region.

The only reason Wii has such an attach rate is because of Nintendo's games. And I don't think it will be any different this year.

I'm still waiting for some announcements!! Where the heck are they? lol...

There's nothing magical about Nintendo's games though. They're just better. If third parties put their minds to it they can achieve similar results, like with Taiko Drum Master and Dragon Quest IX.

That's it. That and the fact that there's not many high profile or high quality 3rd party Wii games getting released there. Nintendo has to maintain sales all by themselves. A pity really, such a big userbase being ignored.
