How is this bad? This is great actually, it will mean Nintendo will have to innovate soon enough and we will get something unique very soon. Also, we might get more multiplat games now, and PS3 users might get some of the nasty shovelware we have been getting, so yeah. It only bothers those who want their games to be exclusive, both the PS3 and the Wii will get more games now.
EDIT: I agree with Viper, the method is what you can patent, but not the idea. Think about it.
