Hah! Anyone see how the PC version of Bioshock sold around 1 million on retail!? And that's not even counting the digital sales, which are probably even higher than that!

And GTA4 PC sold also 1 million, probably not even counting the digital sales.

PC4EVA!

How old are you again ?

Anyway the PC version probably sold around 1.25-1.5m units. Not bad, but not that good either. The first game underperformed on every platform.

The PC version easily sold more than that. In June 2008, an Nvidia exec said that Bioshock sold 1 million, at the time. It's been almost 2 years since then, and Bioshock was HUGE on digital sales, especially with the insane $5 sales everywhere and many times.

Ah yes because all Nvidia executives are tracking sales of PC games in their free time.

If the 1 million number is true, then it's obviously shipped. Which also means that there was almost no other PC shipment after that according to the newest Take Two numbers.

1.5m for the PC version including digital sales seems like most realistic number.

Hardware manufacturers like Nvidia and ATI work closely with publishers in order to promote their products. They have atleast the numbers of the games bundled with their GPUs, which is probably no small laughing matter.

I was just trying to say that they don't track sales of a certain game, but rather get their informations from publishers, so the 1 million number is shipped and we all know that sometimes publishers overestimate the demand for their games and ship a bit more than necessary.

And when I see that, based on the most recent Take-Two numbers in combination with our platform breakdown, the PC version barely shipped more than 1 million units, I think they massively overshipped Bioshock back then, which at the same time makes your point you're trying to make pretty much meaningless. At least with regards to retail sales.
