oopss. sorry, the X360 got the $100 one recently. However, I did buy my PS3 with a $100 gift card last year. Looks like my memory is going down the drain and I'm only 25

lol, yes it was the 360 that got the recent one.  i remember other ps3 sales of this type by walmart but if memory serves me correctly they seemed to be timed in the months leading up to a price drop/new model probably just to clear out old stock.

Considering mine was a november deal last year at walmart, it wasn't to clear out old stock, as they didn't get a new model until much later. However, I wouldn't be suprised if they did that too.
