Alright, people are noticing that my theory is flawed. Very well, back to my usual reply *sigh*

I'll see if I can find it. Damn, I can't remember the last thread's name, so I'll post a short version, without all of the trimmings.

1) A Wii game has to be different from the HD versions: different graphics, different control scheme, etc.

2) Developing a Wii game is risky: yes, there are games which have sold well on Wii. There are many more which haven't. Speaking strictly about what are regarded as quality games, it is more common to see one of these not selling particularly well on Wii than on the HD consoles. This may be because they are "niche". But when the Wii does get a "large" third party game, while it does sell very well, it doesn't match the sales of the HD versions. And I know everyone is thinking about Modern Warfare 2, and that's because Infinity Ward really can't be bothered (see reason 1).
