Yah according to EA's report the PS3 generated less reveniew then the Wii did. However I'm sure porting titles from 360 to PS3 is fairly cheap opposed to developing an entirely new product for the Wii. This could be the real problem, when EA creates a product for the HD consoles is it really worth it for them to make a Wii version from scratch? |
It is really "from scratch" if you make a game and design levels/story, they don't need to be recreated for any console so long as you keep the minimum requirements in mind. Besides, all I said was knocking off the Wii would get rid of one of their bigger revenue streams which isn't really a good idea. As for which makes more profit, who knows. If Wii games take 2-5m to make, and PS360 games take 10-20m to make, the PS360 group would have to make ~4x the revenue of the Wii, which they only really make ~2x. Of course, this is all purely speculation.
