They are the same genre, the same mechanics. You just go around awaiting for hordes of enemies to come towards you and mass kill them. Nothing like Doom, where the levels have a format and you have to follow waypoints and you fight a very limited amount of enemies. This game is essentially a modern Dinasty Warriors game.
