SE only has 1 more game coming to the DS. After DQVI hits, I think it's game over for the DS in Japan. Same from Nintendo themselves. Zelda this Holidays and then Golden Sun 3 next year. Marking an end to the DS's life in Japan.
OT: Terrible sales for S&P2, but looks like Nintendo hasn't learned the lesson and keeps on doing stealth releases, not hyping their games and sharing as little info as they can before the game releases. Kind of reminds me of Excitebike WiiWare, IGN said today they weren't allowed to show any media of the game until next week. That's just WOW, a game that releases in 2 weeks has the media embargoed... No wonder why all these games have been bombing in Japan. Nintendo isn't even relevant anymore when it comes to new IP's or core games that aren't from the Mario or Zelda franchises.
SRTN sold pretty much in line with what it was expected. Still very bad numbers in comparison to what the series used to do on the PS2, hence the 100k+ predictions from some users, which are understandable, but you have to consider Wii has a different audience than the PS3 or PS2, it's much more mainstream. Either big hits or casual games, as most niche games don't seem to stand a chance.
Tekken 6 did OK. Bayonetta did great considering it is a new IP. FF Gaiden doesn't deserve any more sales than those.
