I'm amazed how people still think microsoft can afford to just cut the price of their console which they recently did and it didn't affect the slim's sales as much as expected...even with natal coming and increasing the costs would it really be wise to cut the price again? I doubt microsoft is in the console-business just to throw away money, no matter how much some people want 360 to beat the ps3 MS has to make money to survive, this should be their priority as a business.

I've understood that their 360 arcade-console is being sold at loss allready, would they really want to go further in the red just like sony did with slim? I doubt sony will cut their console price anymore so there shouldn't be a need to make the current consoles any cheaper than needed for either business they could as well give them for free.

When it comes to games both consoles have some pontential system sellers and the only place ps3 can't catch the 360 is the US.

First of all Sony has lost much more money on their current gen console than MS. Plus with many arcade owners buying overpriced HDD, XBL, Wifi MS is able to make a profit. With decreasing PS2,PSP sales and on top the slim bleeding money from sony, Ms can easily cut the price of the 360.

So just because sony lost more money than MS this gen, that means MS can cut the price? That makes no sense whatsoever. Also no one knows just how much the PS3 slim is losing.

Guess you didnt read my whole post. I also mentioned that MS makes their money from their overpriced accessories, XBL both which SONY doesnt have. Plus with higher software sales and huge growth in XBLA MS is already profitting. Only reason they lost money last quarter was due to the Zune

Im not sure that's true... But can you back that up with links?
