@bdbdbd: And your point is? You still believe there's no reason for the dying Wii sales? It's just magic?
If you believe Nintendo dropped the price to raise it up once again after all the current stock is sold, then I shall stop arguing with you.
Projections matter a lot to investors and shareholders, even more so after they sticked with them for 2 consecutive quarters. If they miss their targets by a lot or lower them drastically all of a sudden, confidence will drop, share prices will plummet and overall value of the company would go down, and their image will be severly hurt in the business world.
So what created this downwards trend? Lack of software. Could have Nintendo prevented it? Of course. Did they do it? No, they thought that with 2 big games/year everything was going to be fine, even when that strategy failed last year. So hence resorting to a price cut as an emergency tactic.
If you think that what I say is nonsense, then come up with a reason rather than telling me "That's not the reason lolz!". Your reason is laughable and irrational. I mean come on, you really think Nintendo dropped the price to raise it again after the Holidays? I hope you were being sarcastic, but I doubt it since you are defending that idea.
