Actually, the early adopters were mad over the first iPhone price drop, and I remember people being pretty upset on these forums about the first PS3 price drop. I wouldn't want to drop the price on my hardware for at least 1 year if not slightly longer. Now, if he says that again it is surely for the reasons you described
