This week -175,235 units =(((((((
Wii is DOWN 2,636,724 units from 2008! =(
Note: As a side note, Nintendo has released their updated projetions for the FY and they still remain the same: 26 million Wii's from April 2009 to March 2010. The problem lies in that from Apr 1st 2008 to July 25th 2008, there were 6,892,363 sold, while from Apr 1st 2009 to July 25th 2009 there were 3,451,068 sold. This means that the Wii is down almost 3.5 million units or 50% from last year. Adding that to the fact that Wii is still losing about 200k - 150k consoles YoY weekly, the YoY gap is growing instead of shrinking because of it, so I honestly see no way by which the Wii can be able to reach the same numbers it reached last fiscal year. How is that 3.5 million deficit going to be reversed and how are the weekly YoY numbers going to become positive instead of negative? They should have lowered the forecasts, because 26 million won't happen or anything close to it.
