I liked how they incorporated mild terrain climbing in the game, adding a bit of a platforming element, though only slightly, something that only a dev like Insomniac could get away with. I think why Resistance 2 was so great was because of the level selection. I've never seen such a good diversity of levels in a FPS.
Everytime a new level began I felt like playing a totally different game.
Also the colourful graphics were very good implemented. A lot better than in the levels of FOM.
