The gap hasn't changed one way or the other in 8-9 months without either getting a pricecut. There is nothing to suggest that Pachter is right, but there is nothing to suggest he's wrong either, for that matter.
All that remains to be seen is what kind of an impact (if any) further pricecuts will have on both machines.
Regardless; Pachter is usually full of shit (as we all know) and it is always funny to see how his predictions pan out and fall on their asses.
