To put it simply, the Wii Remote works perfectly fine with a PC (I made Mario Kart 64 use motion control), and I've used the pointer for other little things.
Now, I don't know anything about PC Wii emulation but given a proper emulator that works correctly there is no reason why everything shouldn't work just like if you were playing on the Wii. However, this doesn't mean they have gotten far enough to actually have it work.
