Well, I was talking to a friend earlier tonight about this.
He loved Symphonia. He really liked Symphonia 2, but he still realized that is was a badly made game. He just said that he liked it because it continued the story to one of his favorite games.
Who knows. Either way, my position hasn't changed on it.
ToS2 sold well for a spin-off, but badly for the sequel to the most popular game in the series. Tales of Vesperia sold well for a 360 JRPG, but terribly for a main Tales game.
