I'd ware a ratchet one in public, even though I'm not a huge fan of the series, I think it looks cool. There is no way I'd wear a Gears of War or God of War themed shirt out in public, but that is just me.
As for pokemon, I think these guys would wear it.

Considering pokemon is hugely popular and dwarfs all of the other suggestions, I'm sure it would sell some. The only problem with pokemon, is to make it work you'd have to use a pokemon, and then you'd have to liscense it from Nintendo.
