Well i went into the advanced settings and unchecked the box that said hide unsuported resolutions, and then upped the resolution to 1280x1024. and then the monitor gave my a red screen of death and said unsuported resolution, and it wouldn't let me go back...it was stuck on that, i had to do a hard shutdown and then rebooted, same thing. So next hard shutdown i went into bios and found a whole lot of nothing. To make a long story short my other monitor is no more lol, i'm running on my old crappy fatty monitor now. complete with all the scratches. Well the good news is this monitor supports 1280x1024 so no more scrolling from side to side! :) |
When you change the settings, it should pop up a window that resets your screen after 30 seconds if you don't press ok, so doing a hard shut down just got your monitor stuck.
With a seperate monitor just switch the setttings back and go back to the old settings, then hook up the monitor you want to use.
Or, if you don't have a seperate monitor I can write down all the keystrokes needed to revert your screen resolution back.
