Who here thinks that CGI-Quality would make an awesome Mod?

CGI is what could be described as an ardent fan, or a mature fanboy.

He makes large attempts to control any anti-Microsoft tendencies in his opinions, and too tone down pro-Sony thoughts into the realm of actual possibility. I actually find this to be refreshing and genuine, so he shouldn't take this as an insult at all.

That said, the occasional moments when he oversteps the bounds of those self-imposed structures are largely inconsequential as an ordinary poster. But as a mod, such moments could be quite destructive.

So while I hope CGI will continue to be the entertaining and constructive poster he has become, no, he should not be a mod.

This is the reason why CGI shouldn't be a mod, too fan/biased to Sony to be a "respected" mod. All his decisions would be scrutinized, trying to find traces of fanboyism, and could bring problems. He is, as this thread shows, a very respected poster, bringing maturity and well thought reasonings to the "Sony movement", but as a mod I think it wouldn't work.

Well some people might argue Twestern was exactly the same , he frequently posts contraversial PS3 content . I don't think CGI is like that but even if he was we need an opposite force for some balance.

Sqrl is a PS3 fan?

News to me. Seeing as he doesn't own a PS3. I have to agree, though, that despite the mods having their own biases, it's more or less equal between them. And they all do a really good job of keeping those biases in check.

We could do with another pro-Sony mod, but...these things are not for us to decide.

When we have long-time site members actually leaving because it is starting to be overrun by PS3 fanboys, what possible justification can you offer for another pro-Sony mod before a Pro-Nintendo or Pro-Microsoft one?

And the pro-Sony mods seem to be the most awesome. In general. In my (rather biased) opinion.

As for long time site members leaving because of Sony fanboy overrunning, boo hoo. That was one person, complaining about one thread, who will be back within a couple of weeks anyway. They all come back.

To be honest, I think we've had quite an influx of annoying Sony and Microsoft fanboys lately. Which is why we need more mods. The console they prefer isn't really relevant. I was just pointing out the fact that the number of pro-Microsoft mods > pro-Nintendo mods > pro-Sony mods, which is odd, because the majority of members are pro-Sony, followed by pro-Nintendo, followed by pro-Microsoft.
