Yes, and thank you for listing your thoughts on why.

I believe we'll have to agree to disagree on the matter. I agree, black is a more aggressive color, and perhaps white has given the Wii a slight advantage, but I don't see offering it in black as being a deterrent to some. As someone pointed out, the DS is offered in many colors, and a new color was just released. The only difference in the packaging is the color, same wording, same functionality, same everything. A female can walk in, see the White DS Lite, the Pink DS Lite, and the Black DS Lite, and choose whichever one she feels is right for her. The same will happen for the Wii.

And the 360 is now offered in black as well, so Nintendo would reinforce this match up, Black 360, Black Wii. 

The one argument I would venture to concede in your favor would be the timing. Offering another color before Christmas seems foolish because there's no need. They will sell Wii like gangbusters this holiday, new SKU or not. Might as well hold onto that card until after the holidays when sales start to cool off again.
