to back up radha's point. I think you can get a used GC with 1 controller for like $25.
As for the 3 extra games, it really depends on what you are interested in. Personally I think games like Mario Kart Wii, Galaxy, Sports, Shaun White, and Metroid Prime 3 are worth the extra money.
