The game did 600k first week worldwide... I doubt that all of them where hardcore gamers.... and lets be honest its obvious that many of those copies where not sold because its the RTS of this generation but because it has the Halo name tacked on it...
Im glad that they finally departed from the FPS genre, but lets be honest, sales wise, it might not have been the best decision ;) It could only hurt the IPs selling and hardware moving power in the longrun, and IMO a more conservative 3rd person shooter aproach ( GeOW style ) would have been a better decision...
