@vonboy: I don't think so, look at what's going on with the Wii in Japan. Nintendo expected what you say to work out, but now that it's not working, how are they gonna regain the momentum they lost? Wii saw it's lowest weeks ever during the past few weeks there and PS3 and 360 were able to outsell it.
For the month of February PS3 sold more HW than the Wii. And YTD PS3 is closing in SW, just RE5 and Musou Orochi Z will be enough for the PS3 to outsell Wii's YTD SW and HW totals.
Nintendo needs to step it up there, there's no longer a vcation time. Wii Music and AC:CF failed to do what you are implying. I honestly don't know how it's going to end there.
Can't keep on relying on 1 game only, because if that game fails your console fails and loses all the momentum it had.
