How the hell is Gears of War 2 innovative? I think they put the wrong title. Anyway, ACTUAL innovative companies:
Media Molecule. LBP dared to be different and succeeded.
Nintendo. Come on, just look at the Wii. Nintendo created the analog stick. They are the oldest company, yet they always bring the most innovation to the table. They failed to do this with the GameCube, and the GameCube failed.
Team ICO. Not sure if they count as a company, but SoTC was a breath of fresh air.
Loads more, but these three spring to mind. Microsoft are just about the opposite of innovative. Not that that's a bad thing.
