this is the same exact thing, as when people complained we were getting 3D platfomers instead of 2D ones. Personally, I've learned to just enjoy a game in all sorts of genres.
Honestly, whenever I get a chance to go to the arcade, I run straight to the on rail shooters cause they are awesome. At least I get to live some of that awesome arcade experience at home, since there are no more decent arcades in my home town (there are 2, but they are complete crap).
