well, if the "core" are buying enough software to keep the attach rate so high, then they must be way more "hardcore" than any PS3 or X360 fan.
Obviously, if you look at games like Mario Kart Wii, Wii Fit, Wii Play, and all the music games (RB, GH), the "new audience" is buying around 4 games pretty much as soon as they get their system.
Unless you want to admit that there are more "core" players on the Wii than any other system, since those games have outsold all the other games on other platforms.
