There audience is anyone who likes having fun playing video games. That is who they try to target. Just because fanboys of Sony or Microsoft believe that only kiddies and grandmas play on Nintendo doesn't make it true. Personally, I know more people in the 13-30 year range who have Wii's than any other console, so I'm sure Nintendo's targets everyone.
Anyways, the graph that mai linked to, there was a similar one for Wii, with similar results, but both were only for Japan. I don't think there has been any study like this for any European or American nations.
