Well I've learned Chinese for 2 and French for 4 years and I'm better in Chinese.....

Are you serious? French is easy. Mandarin is ridiculous with its 40,000 characters that all somehow look different and how the same word can mean five things depending on the intonation.

To be fair I had 2 horrible French teachers at school. I barely got a 4 (and with barely I mean it actually was a 5, but the teacher was merciful) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academic_grading_in_Germany

I simply hate the French grammar. It's as bad (complicated) as the German grammar and we Germans know that our language is difficult to master.
