So, some of you are trying to tell me that if The Conduit (for instance) flops, the dev's will keep making games like it on the Wii that won't move instead of moving it to the 360 (for instance) and probably sell a whole lot more despite the lower install base.
Install base be damned, if there are 50 million people not buying your games versus 30 (or 50 million if you count the PS3 as well) million which will, it really is a no brainer for most dev's.
To state and think otherwise shows a disappointing grasp on logic imo.

But devs are going to want to tap into that 50 million. They'll keep trying. Publishers will become more wary, but they really don't have a choice but to keep trying

I don't see someone like, say, High Voltage Studios trying to compete with the big budget games on PS360. It's a fairly toxic environment for anyone but the biggest of publishers. Even if The Conduit flopped, they would be back. Ditto for other companies that aren't making enough money on PS360 (hint: there's a lot of them, even some of the bigger ones)

Of course they'll want to tap into those 50 million users, but my point is that they won't keep trying to make these types of games if they won't move.

That said, I think I'll have to see how these games fare before I say anything else that can potentially bite me (and many others) in the ass. I do think The Conduit will do decently, not Metroid numbers but good none the less, seeing as it is a tad mainstream, something which Madworld isn't, which is why I think Madworld won't do too well.
