Yup, same thing here. Analog controls for Resident Evil sucks. :(

They made it spectacular on the 'Cube. I haven't played RE4 Wii. Is RE5 really that much worse control wise?

If you use the defualt settings it's horrible. Right Stick aims and turns, and left stick general movement. This is annoying because if you want to run or use a special attack you'll have to move your thumb to the face buttons. Makes running on the go harder because you can't hold A and the both sticks at the same time, so it's very difficult to run and turn. Very akward to try and both evade and fight back since you have to keep moving your thumb around.

You can change the control type to the RE4 standard though, which I did my second playthough of the demo. That and change the aiming speed to fastest and it works pretty well. It's annoying they didn't really fix anything from RE4 though. Special attacks and picking up items are still on the same button which means you still pick-up bullets when you try to punch someone in the face. But this time your character picks stuff up in real time, that game doesn't pause like RE4, which means it's annoying and it'll blow your chance to land a hit because by the time he's finished the zombie isn't stunned anymore.

I don't like how co-op is handled either. I probably woun't have anyone to play this with if I get it, and it's obvious the game is meant to be played with two people. You can't use Sheva's items, only request them. She picked up a red herb at one point in the demo and I wanted to combine it with her green herb to make it better. But I can only request her items, which means I had to take them both, combine them, then give it back. I can't decide how many bullets I want to give or take, it just does it units of 30, which I rarely had. Can't control what she equips aside from not giving her ammo for guns I don't want her to use, can't switch to her character. This was all stuff you could do in Resident Evil 0, but not in 5. So it kinda screws up the single player for me, espeically since it uses some lame ass Gears of War pick up system where if the Sheva screws up and gets downed, I have to rush over and pick her up. And if she stands around and let's someone chainsaw her head off, I lose.

That's boss.
