The bolded are 2010 titles and the list really doesn't go on. It's Heavy Rain and thats it.

 

And let's not forget; the bolded are also the only games even close to the level of GTA (GT5) and MGS (God of War), and we all know how those huge games didn't turn into anything. 

This arguement could just as easily have been written in 2007 about 2008.  I see no reason to assume it will work out differently this time.

GTA was multiplat. Multiplats don't give sales boosts.

And I'd say MGS' effect was pretty impressive. The PS3 beat the Wii that week and outsold the 360 3 to 1.
