You could move Shiida into a forest or on a fortress to make it less likely that she gets hit (it works), but that still involves luck and that's not what you would want in Fire Emblem.

So instead use the warp staff to get her next to Jake, it's that simple. Just make sure to lure and kill the three cavaliers before you warp Shiida in there. Alternatively you could change Shiida's class or use a master seal early which increases her movement range to ten.

 

Damn, the warp staff. Didn't think about that at all.

It was time well spent though, cause Radd could gain some EXP at the Arena.
