lol! I guess I'll be seeing you in this thread in February then.
Every time I get to the final Dragon something cheap always seems to happen. One problem is that I didn't power-up any of my main characters at all and their all weaklings cause I didn't want to deal with them dying and having to start over. Not to mention this is also my first s-rpg ever and for over half the game I really didn't know what I was doing.
So can any experienced fire emblem veterans help me out?
Well, if your characters are underlevelled it might be problematic. Fire Emblem is kinda unforgiving in the sense that it's totally possible to be unable to finish the game. If your stats are too low you'll lose.
If you have a save a few levels back you could try to level some characters a bit. However I don't understand how you've reached the boss with a massively underleveled team.
Otherwise restart and make sure a decent goup of ~20 characters get regular battles and kills. Also, never do the majority of your attacks with your strongest character (often called Jeigans for he was in the first game) cause they don't gain as much EXP from the same kill as lower levelled characters do. Most of the time they're already promoted units, that turn out to be weak in the 2nd half of the game due to bad growth. Jeigans should be used only if there's no other way until the group has reached their level.
Amazon?
